Accession of Japan to the Rome StatuteThe Hague, 17 July 2007 | ICC-PR-20070717-231-En | On 17 July, 2007, Japan acceded to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The accession comes on World Day for International Justice in honour of the adoption of the ICC Statute, the founding treaty of the ICC, on 17 July, 1998.
